On-Site Paging FAQ's

Below is a list of the most frequently asked questions about our On-Site Paging Systems. If you have any additional questions or require further information, please feel free to contact us.

Q: What is on-site paging?
A: On-site paging is an alert/messaging system designed to operate within a specific local area (i.e. an individual restaurant, hotel, retail outlet, warehouse etc). With an on-site paging system, you have your own transmitter which you can use to send programmable alerts/messages to an individual pager or group of pagers.

Q: How does on-site paging coverage compare with wide area paging coverage?
A: On-site paging systems are designed to provide coverage for a specific location. Coverage is typically between half a mile and a mile, using a standard internal antenna. The range can be extended (up to around a mile and a half) by using an optional external antenna. The wide area paging network provides coverage for around 98% of the UK population.

Q: Do I have to enter into a contract?
A: No. On-site paging systems are supplied without a contract. Once you've purchased an on-site paging system, there are no further ongoing charges except for a Private Business Radio Licence from OFCOM (where required).
