The Zap Orion has a four line display screen which can receive up to 30 messages in its inbox of 20 characters per line. It is an extremely compact and robust pager incorporating many useful features (such as a zoom facility to enlarge the characters of a message).
For complete discretion the pager can be placed into silent mode or a gentle vibrate option can be chosen. Conversely if you absolutely must hear an incoming message there is an option for the pager to bleep continuously until the battery runs out. This is a very useful feature for those on emergency call out.
You can rely on receiving your messages within seconds. Paging Networks use advanced satellite technology to relay messages to you via transmitters located across the UK.
To send a message, callers simply dial your pager number (which connects to the 24-hour Paging Call Centre) and leave the message with the Call Centre operator.
Calls to this pager from BT landlines are charged at a fixed fee rate, irrespective of the length of time that you are on the phone.
The BT tariff code is 'ff9 - Calls to Fixed Fee Numbers'.
Other operators (including mobile networks) may charge different rates.
